September gathering

Tuesday 29 September 2026, Riverside Church, Southgate, Sleaford · 21 partners came

You said

  • Services aren't joined up: people get passed between agencies, and similar services overlap or compete
  • It's hard to find out what's on. H.A.Y. Lincolnshire is valued but hard to navigate, and people who aren't online are missed
  • Poor, costly transport cuts villagers off from groups and support
  • Short-term funding means good groups and schemes don't last
  • Some people are missing out, including neurodivergent people, people with dementia and their families, 18 to 30-year-olds and people in work

We did

  • DoneSent every partner a written summary of what we heard within two days, with the presentation and a contact list, so partners can reach each other directly.
  • DoneBuilt this year's project plan from the priorities the three tables set, including free local rooms for NHS and community appointments closer to home.
  • DoneConnected Lincolnshire County Council Adult Social Care with the Meadow wellbeing hub in Ruskington. A Community Care Officer we met at the gathering came to a hub session the following week.
  • In progressMet LPFT's Every Voice patient and carer partners to explore how people with lived experience can take part in future gatherings.

July gathering

Tuesday 21 July 2026, Riverside Church, Southgate, Sleaford · 19 partners came

You said

  • The Meadow and The Door wellbeing hubs needed a new Wellbeing Lead to keep running
  • Local groups need affordable venues in Sleaford
  • Newer communities and military families need a welcome and better links into support

We did

  • DoneHelped Ruskington Community Church and Riverside Church recruit a new Wellbeing Lead. The Meadow and The Door reopened on 21 September, with K2 social prescribers and mental health practitioners helping to cover sessions.
  • In progressBuilding a volunteer team with both churches, so no hub session depends on one person.
  • DoneWent to the countywide Dispersed Military Families symposium on 7 October, to help local support reach families living off-base.

May gathering

Tuesday 26 May 2026, Riverside Church, Southgate, Sleaford · 18 partners came

You said

  • There's a four-week wait for social prescribing, so link workers need places to send people in the meantime
  • Community pantry use is rising, especially among young people
  • The K2 Pain Café is planning more courses, open to self-referrals
  • Partners want their leaflets, links and updates shared across the network

We did

  • DoneFound a free village venue for the K2 Pain Café. Ruskington Community Church offered a room at the Meadow, and the course started there on 8 October.
  • DoneShared partners' news, opportunities and the September gathering date in a network update to around 130 local contacts.
