Sleaford Area Wellbeing Partnership Gathering

How it works

Where local knowledge meets practical action. Open to anyone with something to bring, with no membership and nothing to sign up to.

What happens at a meeting

Each meeting brings up-to-date information about what is happening across Sleaford, honest conversation about gaps and pressures, and time for people with direct experience to shape priorities.

  1. Welcome and introductionsWho is in the room and what they do.
  2. Brief local updatesA minute or two each: news, changes, things to share.
  3. A focused topicA speaker, a shared problem or a local question to dig into.
  4. Connections and next stepsTime to meet the people you need, and agree who is taking what forward.

It is not a talking shop. When the room agrees something is worth working on, a small working group takes it forward between meetings and reports back.

Who it is for

Community groups, charities, parish and town councils, village halls, faith communities, health services, social prescribers, activity providers and residents, especially people with lived experience of the issues being discussed.

You do not need a title or an organisation behind you. If you have local knowledge or direct experience, that is exactly what the board needs.

Why it exists

When people and organisations are busy, good work easily becomes fragmented. Residents end up repeating themselves, falling through gaps, or missing support that is already there.

The board is one practical way of reducing that fragmentation.

What success looks like

  • Local people and organisations know each other better
  • Support is easier to find
  • Community assets are more visible
  • Fewer dead ends and less duplication
  • No wrong door: whoever you ask first can point you on
